SERMON: “God’s Glory in the Face of Christ” 2 Corinthians 4:6

1. We are illumed in the knowledge of the glory of God by the apostolic word.
2. We see God’s brightness and saving grace in the face of Christ.
3. We respond to this illumination in faith, with lives conformed to Christ and full of hope.

1. Jesus’ miracles are great.
2. He has shown us greater things than these: Jesus Himself as the House of God and Gate of Heaven.

THE BAPTISM of OUR LORD

SERMON: “Dead to Sin and Alive to God in Christ” Romans 6:8-11

1. Baptism unites us to Christ’s death and resurrection.
2. Since Christ died to sin once for all, we are dead to sin.
3. Since Christ rose from the dead and lives to God, we are alive to God in  Him.

JANUARY 03, 2021

SECOND SUNDAY after CHRISMAS

LITURGY: ORDER OF HOLY COMMUNION

SERMON: “The Boy Jesus, Our Example and Savior” Luke 2:51-52

1. He was an example of submission and progression in wisdom and favor.
2. In this He was already serving as our Savior.

FIRST SUNDAY after CHRISTMAS

SERMON: ”Sing to the Lord a New Song” Psalm 98:1-3

1. The new song is a song of Christ’s salvation.
2. We sing the new song because of the Lord’s wonderful deeds.
   1. He has worked salvation through Christ.
   2. He has made known His salvation to the ends of the earth.

Sermon: “Trust the God Who Does the Impossible”  Luke 1:37-38

1. Nothing will be impossible with God.
2. We should humbly believe His word and submit to His gracious will.
