2. He has shown us greater things than these: Jesus Himself as the House of God and Gate of Heaven.

SERMON: “Dead to Sin and Alive to God in Christ” Romans 6:8-11

1. Baptism unites us to Christ’s death and resurrection.
2. Since Christ died to sin once for all, we are dead to sin.
3. Since Christ rose from the dead and lives to God, we are alive to God in  Him.

SECOND SUNDAY after CHRISMAS

LITURGY: ORDER OF HOLY COMMUNION

SERMON: “The Boy Jesus, Our Example and Savior” Luke 2:51-52

1. He was an example of submission and progression in wisdom and favor.
2. In this He was already serving as our Savior.

SERMON: ”Sing to the Lord a New Song” Psalm 98:1-3

1. The new song is a song of Christ’s salvation.
2. We sing the new song because of the Lord’s wonderful deeds.
   1. He has worked salvation through Christ.
   2. He has made known His salvation to the ends of the earth.

Sermon: “Trust the God Who Does the Impossible”  Luke 1:37-38

1. Nothing will be impossible with God.
2. We should humbly believe His word and submit to His gracious will.

1. The God of peace wills our complete sanctification.
2. God is faithful and will do this.

SERMON: “All His Enemies Under His Feet”  1 Corinthians 15:24-26

1. The resurrection of the dead is real.
2. In the end, Christ will have all His enemies under His feet.
3. This is cause for thanksgiving, steadfastness, and abounding in the Lord’s work.

Sermon: “Joy for Faithful Servants”   Matthew 25:14-16, 21

1. The Master entrusts us with His possessions.
2. We are to use them for His interests.
3. Faithful servants will enter the joy of the Master.
